About the hotel
Set in 5 acres of grounds, overlooking the breathtaking Derwent Gorge, this Regency-styled hotel has an outdoor pool and an indoor heated plunge pool, both fed by natural thermal springs.
The New Bath Hotel, a Brook Hotel, was originally built in 1802. Today, the hotel’s impressive facilities include an Olympic-sized outdoor swimming pool, which is open weekends from May to September, as well as an 18th century natural spa, with warm spring water bubbling up from the earth.
Situated on the border of the Peak District National Park, the hotel enjoys a countryside location with good transport links to nearby Derby, Nottingham, Sheffield and the M1 motorway. Chatsworth and Haddon Hall country houses are nearby. Gulliver’s Kingdom and the American Adventure theme parks are a short drive away and Alton Towers is just 40 minutes’ drive away.
Please note that the New Bath Hotel now operates a non-smoking policy, though there is a smoking area outside.

Directions
By Car - From M1, leave at Junction 28. Follow the signs to Matlock along the A38. Turn off at the A610 sign-posted Ambergate. Turn Right at the A6 following signs for Matlock. The hotel is situated on the left-hand side before you reach Matlock Bath itself.
By Rail - Connecting Trains from Derby or Chesterfield Station into Matlock Bath Station.
Matlock Bath Station is one mile from hotel, and Derby Station 17 Miles.
By Air - Birmingham Airport is 55 Miles away, Manchester Airport 60 Miles and Nottingham East Midland 25 Miles.
